Ipsy July 2016

I'm LOVING the bag this month. Holographic is stunning!
These are my items this month! To be totally honest, I'm not really digging it.
Trust Fund Beauty - No Filter nail polish
This is a full size nail polish by the brand Trust Fund Beauty. It retails for $15.00. I unfortunately am not excited about this item because I get fake nails now and don't use nail polish. I am hopefully trading this with someone.
This product I was so excited for! I love hair products (especially oils) and this is amazing! This is a deluxe sample size.
This is a deluxe sample of the MUFE Excessived Lash mascara. I haven't used it yet because I'm wearing false lashes a lot lately so mascaras have been getting pushed aside.
This is a full size Mellow Cosmetics eyeshadow that retails for $8.00USD. I like this shadow, it's totally my colour, but it's nothing special. Not a lot of pigment even when applied wet.
This is a full size brow pencil that retails for $3.99. When I received it I was very unhappy because dark brown is NOT my colour. It really isn't, but I can make it work. It glides on beautifully and it stays well.

Overall, I am not overly impressed with this Ipsy. I don't hate it, but I definitely don't love it.

Sigma E40 Brush Review

I have disappeared for a while, life has been HAPPENING. I got hired at Sephora! So crazy.

Anyway, Nail Polish Canada (my FAVOURITE website for Canadian beauty!) gave me the opportunity to try the Sigma E40 blending brush. This is HUGE for me because I'm a brush newbie and Sigma has such a good reputation. I have spent months at this point testing this brush with different looks, different shadows and different textures.

These are just a few of the MANY looks I've done with this brush... I haven't used anything else to blend my shadow with. I didn't realize how important blending is until this brush simplified it for me. This is perfect for beginners OR makeup artists. I'm going to have to buy more Sigma brushes because this one has amplified my makeup to a whole new level. I also feel super fancy saying "Sigma E40"

You can find all of the Sigma brushes that Nail Polish Canada carries here

I HIGHLY recommend you grab one of these brushes as soon as you can!

Thank you so much Tiffany & Nail Polish Canada for giving me this opportunity and changing my makeup game. I love you guys so much.

Tarte Friends and Family 30% Off Haul

What I got and why!

Tarteist Contour Palette- I have been wanting this for MONTHS but could never justify it. 30% off is a good enough reason for me!
The Buffer - airbrush finish bamboo foundation brush - I don't have a foundation brush, and look at the reviews - seriously!
Amazonian Clay foundation - I've heard amazing things about this for a long time.
So Fine liquid liner- I go through liquid liner like water, and it's new!
Marine Boosting Mist - This is replacing my Mac Fix +. Cruelty Free!
Aquacealer Concealer - I've never tried a Tarte concealer and this one intrigued me.

I'm so excited to try everything out, I honestly haven't used much Tarte so now I get a chance to test the brand out!

CoverGirl TruNaked Nudes Palette Swatches

CoverGirl TruNaked Nudes
Ok. This palette is SO pigmented. I don't know where CoverGirl even came from with this. But it's SO MESSY. It gets everywhere. I'm really excited to use this on my eyes!

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette Swatches

Okay, so, when I first heard Maybelline was coming out with palettes I had no interest in purchasing them or trying them because I have so many high end palettes and in Canada the lowest they go is $13.99 which is way too expensive to me for drugstore. HOWEVER I came across someone selling it for $6! I grabbed it.

The swatches are a lot better in person than in the picture. They are more pigmented than I expected! I'm really looking forward to using this.
