Black Friday Sephora Haul

I did a little bit of damage during the Black Friday Sephora sale. Sephora's thing is they have little sets of $10 ($13 CAD) beauty deals. Some of them were amazing deals, some not so much. Here is everything they had listed:

Here are the things I received today (Monday)
I'm still waiting on one order (The Sephora mask set and the First Aid Beauty set) but I'm just going to talk about what I received.

The Philosophy cleanser, I think, is the best deal of everything Sephora had to offer. It had a $56 (CAD) value for $13!

The Too Faced and Boscia sets are gifts so I didn't open them.

And.... The Smashbox set. I am not happy. I paid $13 for this set and they are TINY. Like, let me show you. I got the Benefit set FOR FREE with points. Just look.
They all look like they could have came in the same FREE set. I'm not going to return it because I do want to try these products, but come on
Overall, so far I'm happy but I still have more things to receive!

Tarte 2015 Light Of The Party Holiday Set Swatches + Review

Tarte Light of The Party

I got this set from Sephora (Canada) for $71. It is currently not listed on their website.
A sequined collector’s case filled with limited-edition eye shadow, lash, and cheek essentials.
(popcorn stand and wrapped up barely show up on my skin!)

The lighter colours are really hard to see on my skin tone - i'll update soon

So, if you pay attention to beauty shtuff, you'd know that this holiday set got some not-so-good reviews. Most of the things I've heard are that the pigment just isn't there. That is partially true. The lighter shades, EVEN with my pale skin, aren't fantastic.

popcorn stand, sugar cookie, in a flurry, it's snow time, tartetini, & party favored all swatch badly. party favored still looked really nice on the eye and blended beautifully.

Everything else swatched pretty freaking well.

Ultimately I do recommend this palette if you're okay with working with the shadows. Some of them need a lot of pressure and work to build up but they become really beautiful. The value is REALLY good and the packaging is (in my opinion) beautiful - I can't stop grabbing it and playing with it.
