Montagne Jeunesse Face Mask Review: Green Tea Peel-Off Detox & Pore Cleansing Masque

Hey!
As I previously stated, I received 3 Montagne Jeunesse masks to review from Obsessed Canada a few months ago. One of the ones I chose was the Green Tea Peel-Off Detox & Pore Cleansing Masque because my pores are pretty bad. The other two masks will be done in another review post, one for me and one for my boyfriend.
First of all, I must say that I HATE this packaging. It's so difficult to squeeze out and if I have any extra product left in it, it always gets thrown out. Despite my hatred for the packaging, I love face masks too much to let that affect me.
The application was not easy because the product is clear, so you can't see where you have applied it and where you haven't. It says to keep it on for about 20 minutes, but within 13 minutes (I timed it), it was already dry to the point where I couldn't move my face. I left it on for a bit longer just to get the full effect. Once I started peeling, it was so easy to come off! I've used face masks where I had to claw at my face to remove, but this one peeled off with ease.
The very first thing I noticed was how refreshed my face felt. It felt revived and amazing. I can't wait to use more Montagne Jeunesse masks because this experience was great.

I definitely recommend this mask if you like peel-off masks. It was refreshing, my pores look better, it peeled off wonderfully and it was quick!

You may purchase them here, they're cheap and SO worth it! Thank you Tiffany from Obsessed Canada for this opportunity.

Julep Mask Noir Review & Testing

Hey!
I came to the conclusion that it was time my face needed some love. Luckily for me, I had gotten the Mask Noir from Julep in the Jewel Heist mystery box so I went for it! I looked up tons of reviews and tips before using it, so I'll address those as I show you my experience.
I decided to test it on my arm first, because the last thing I need is a reaction on my face. This is the only mask (or even product) I have ever tested before using, because it was the only one I had doubts about.
It applied really thick and no reaction! Now for the face...
I have tons of stuff to address here. First of all, this mask just feels offensive. It very closely resembles blackface, and I do not feel comfortable having that on my face. If you don't understand how it can be perceived as offensive, or you do not understand "blackface", please educate yourself by clicking here
So moving on to the product. When you first start applying it, it feels like you're "painting" your face. I had fun filling in the areas. I had read many reviews and blogposts saying that it's difficult, even the most difficult mask to apply and at that point in time I did not believe it... but then it started drying. Once the mask begins drying on your face, if you rub over an already done area it will come RIGHT off! (which is why I have patches missing) This made it extremely difficult to apply evenly, or even at all.
This is the result of my hands after applying... wonderful. It wasn't easy to get off, either. I decided that I was going to take a bath while I waited for it to dry (yay shaving!)

I did not time how long it was on, but once it felt dry on my face I peeled it off. It is SO easy to peel off, I felt relieved. I have only used one other peel off mask and I felt like I was clawing at my face the entire time, while this came off in one go. Another pointer I read was to throw the peeling in the garbage because it will clog your drains. Thank you, bloggers!

The result.. When I took it off, my face felt ... weird, and there was redness. Luckily it went away and my face feels really soft and smooth! (but it looks the same)

Overall Review
I like the mask. I'll probably use it again. However as far as masks go, it isn't the best. I know you have to use a mask more than once (usually as directed) to get the full effect but that's just not something I do. I only do face masks if I'm feeling like having a girly night or I feel my face really needs one. Another point is.. should they really have made the packaging white? REALLY?
I wouldn't buy this at retail price. Maybe not even at all (but again, I don't use face masks that often) If I got it in another mystery box I would put it to use, and it would last me a long time, but I wouldn't go out of my way to own it.
If you do want to try it, the link is here, however chances are you can find it cheaper on Storenvy!

Have you used this mask? What was your experience? Let me know!
