Random Act Of Kindness Appreciation

Hey!
Lately I've been receiving very kind gifts and extras from people that I'm becoming closer to. I never knew how to properly thank or explain how grateful I am for these, but I've been doing my own Random Acts of Kindness to spread the happiness.
The most recent RAOK I received was above and beyond and I feel the need to share. I had posted in one of my groups asking for someone to ship me Pumpkin Spice M&M's, (and I would pay for everything, of course), and she offered to send me them for free. I'm in Canada and she was from the States so that must have been kind of expensive :/ So when I got it in the mail, I was amazed...
THIS IS INSANE! IN WHAT WORLD DO I DESERVE THIS!?! I'm not going to reveal her name, but she has to be the most generous person in the world. I nearly cried.

I hope this reminds you girls that there are generous people in the world, and good karma is real. Please be kind to everyone, because it can make people happier than you'd believe.

Essie For The Twill Of It Swatches

My most recent (and current, but needs to be changed) mani is Essie For The Twill of It. I've wanted this polish for quite a while and found it on clearance! It has a "duo-chrome" feel to it, between grey, green and purple.
I tried to take pictures in different lights to show the differences. It is definitely mostly grey, leans green most and occasionally purple. I LOOOOOVE it! It's fantastic. I love the formula, it applied so easily, I love Essie's brushes. I highly recommend this polish!

Do you have this polish? Do you love it too?

Julep October Maven Box

So.. It is October 29th and I finally got my October Maven box. I'm not bitter about it, the lady who I was emailing was very nice. I in total got 2750 jules for the wait, and I think that's pretty awesome and generous.

I LOVE this paper! I'm saving it for a swap!
Everything was going good while I was swatching, until I realized my Shailene is one of the bad ones.
Again, I am not bitter! I know they'll fix this problem. Most of the polishes are a little goopy but they are definitely fine to use. I am so glad I finally received it, and I'm glad I got the Polish Lovers Upgrade! I can't wait to use these polishes!

Did you get an October box? Were your polishes a little goopy too?

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Pumpkin Spice Swatches

I managed to get my hands on a limited edition Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polish called Pumpkin Spice. I was SOOO freaking excited because I'm all about fall this year and this polish is perfect!
Not my picture, found on Pinterest

It looks amazing in the bottle but once it's on the nails it looks even better.
Nails are chipped because I've had this mani for a few days!
Pictures don't fully do this polish justice. The formula is the only downside of this polish. It is VERY sheer, and I've found the best way to apply it is by using a dabbing motion as opposed to the usual swiping. I wish I had backups of this polish!

Essence Red Romance Matte Polish Swatches

I decided I needed to do a new mani before work, so I thought I would attempt a matte polish again! I got Essence Red Romance from the Dark Romance limited collection on clearance for 99 cents! So naturally, I had to try it.

It applied absolutely beautifully. It dried quick, and the matte finish is just stunning. However...
IT ALREADY CHIPPED! REALLY! I did my nails, then went to do the Mask Noir. That's it. And it chipped. I need to redo it now, again. WAAAAAAAH :'(!

I also hated the cap. It made it super hard to polish with since it was so wide and round. I am extremely disappointed.

I would suggest passing on this polish. The finish and colour are great but it chipped within an hour. Now time to redo my nails.... See you soon! :(

Julep Mask Noir Review & Testing

Hey!
I came to the conclusion that it was time my face needed some love. Luckily for me, I had gotten the Mask Noir from Julep in the Jewel Heist mystery box so I went for it! I looked up tons of reviews and tips before using it, so I'll address those as I show you my experience.
I decided to test it on my arm first, because the last thing I need is a reaction on my face. This is the only mask (or even product) I have ever tested before using, because it was the only one I had doubts about.
It applied really thick and no reaction! Now for the face...
I have tons of stuff to address here. First of all, this mask just feels offensive. It very closely resembles blackface, and I do not feel comfortable having that on my face. If you don't understand how it can be perceived as offensive, or you do not understand "blackface", please educate yourself by clicking here
So moving on to the product. When you first start applying it, it feels like you're "painting" your face. I had fun filling in the areas. I had read many reviews and blogposts saying that it's difficult, even the most difficult mask to apply and at that point in time I did not believe it... but then it started drying. Once the mask begins drying on your face, if you rub over an already done area it will come RIGHT off! (which is why I have patches missing) This made it extremely difficult to apply evenly, or even at all.
This is the result of my hands after applying... wonderful. It wasn't easy to get off, either. I decided that I was going to take a bath while I waited for it to dry (yay shaving!)

I did not time how long it was on, but once it felt dry on my face I peeled it off. It is SO easy to peel off, I felt relieved. I have only used one other peel off mask and I felt like I was clawing at my face the entire time, while this came off in one go. Another pointer I read was to throw the peeling in the garbage because it will clog your drains. Thank you, bloggers!

The result.. When I took it off, my face felt ... weird, and there was redness. Luckily it went away and my face feels really soft and smooth! (but it looks the same)

Overall Review
I like the mask. I'll probably use it again. However as far as masks go, it isn't the best. I know you have to use a mask more than once (usually as directed) to get the full effect but that's just not something I do. I only do face masks if I'm feeling like having a girly night or I feel my face really needs one. Another point is.. should they really have made the packaging white? REALLY?
I wouldn't buy this at retail price. Maybe not even at all (but again, I don't use face masks that often) If I got it in another mystery box I would put it to use, and it would last me a long time, but I wouldn't go out of my way to own it.
If you do want to try it, the link is here, however chances are you can find it cheaper on Storenvy!

Have you used this mask? What was your experience? Let me know!

Julep Gel Eye Gliders Swatches + Review

Hey!
I have swatches of the Julep gel eye gliders.
In order (top to bottom) they are Smoky Taupe Shimmer, Blackest Black, Rich Brown, Smoky Plum. Smoky Plum looks thicker because it had the most use.
So, I am someone who uses a lot of eyeliner, I know what's good and what isn't. I can easily say that I LOVE these eyeliners! (and so does my mom!) They don't smudge, they last all day and they apply beautifully. I love the range in colours, smoky plum is something I wouldn't usually use but it looks incredible with my daily look. To get more product you have to sharpen the pencil (there was a lot of questions about that).
Also... exciting news! There are THREE new colours being released with the November box! Bronze Shimmer, Graphite Shimmer and Regal Teal. And I'm getting all three!!
I very highly recommend these eyeliners, and I would recommend waiting for a sale (they always have sales!) Or, buy them here!

Liquid Sky Lacquer Bri's Hella Holo Swatch

Hello,
This is the quickest I've ever changed a mani, but since I have time before work and my previous mani was quite awful, I decided to try a new polish! Liquid Sky Lacquer Bri's Hella Holo. Too bad it's not sunny today. Pre-clean up!
So obviously you can't see the holo too well. I decided to take a picture under my kitchen light!
It's SO GORGEOUS! Now about the formula. I'm not sure if it's because it's a mini, but it was very sheer. It took 3 coats (or two thick coats) to become opaque. It's fine with me though! I adore it! I'll try to take a picture whenever there's sunlight!

What's your favourite Liquid Sky Lacquer holo!?
